Privacy Policy

Deadlinr is built on the principle that your personal data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe — in plain English.
1. Who We Are
Deadlinr (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is an Android application published on the Google Play Store under the package identifier com.deadlinr. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@deadlinr.com.
2. Data We Collect
Deadlinr is designed to work with minimal data. Here is everything we may collect, depending on which features you use:
2a. Data stored only on your device (Free tier)
By default, all deadline and category data you create stays entirely on your device in a local database. We never see it, transmit it, or have access to it. This includes:
- Deadline names, dates, notes, and categories you create
- Your app preferences and theme settings
- Reminder schedules you configure
2b. Data used for purchases (Pro tier)
To manage your Pro subscription, we use RevenueCat, a third-party payment infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:
- Your device’s Android ID — a hardware-scoped identifier used to associate your purchase with your device. On Android 8 and above, this ID is scoped to your app-signing key, device, and Google account, so different accounts on the same device are treated as separate users.
- Purchase transaction details from Google Play (handled by Google — we never see your payment card details).

2c. Data used for cloud sync (Pro tier)
If you enable cloud backup and sync (a Pro feature), your deadline data is encrypted and stored in our cloud infrastructure so it can be restored or synced across devices. This data is linked to your account identifier and is never sold or shared with third parties.
2d. Data used for Google Sign-In (optional)
Deadlinr offers optional Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in, Google shares your name and email address with the app. This information is used only to identify your account within the app and is not shared with any third party. You can use Deadlinr without signing in at all.
2e. Camera and OCR (Pro tier)
The barcode scanner and OCR (text-recognition) tools use your device camera to read product barcodes or printed dates. Images captured during a scan are processed entirely on-device using Google’s ML Kit library — no image data is uploaded to our servers or retained after the scan is complete.
3. Permissions We Request

4. How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above solely to:
- Provide and improve the Deadlinr app experience
- Deliver reminders at the times you request
- Verify and manage your Pro subscription
- Sync your data across your devices (Pro feature, if enabled)
- Respond to your support requests
We do not sell your data. We do not serve ads. We do not build profiles on you for marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
Deadlinr integrates with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Handles app distribution, in-app purchases, and optional account sign-in.

Local data stays on your device until you delete the app or manually clear its data. Cloud-synced data (Pro) is retained while your account is active. If you cancel Pro and request account deletion, your cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days. To request deletion, email support@deadlinr.com.
7. Data Security
Cloud-synced data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Local data is protected by Android’s standard app sandbox — no other app on your device can access Deadlinr’s data. While we take reasonable precautions, no digital system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Deadlinr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@deadlinr.com and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
